Engine is in

I finally got the engine in the truck to my satisfaction using motor mounts from Reliable Diesel in Mesa AZ. You can see pics on my webshots page, just click the link in my sig.

Thats not very good self control , did all that good work but couldn't wait to put the eng. in , I mean , what about fixen up the eng. bay ?

so I take it the motor never ran very long when you ran it on the stand based the the fact there is no radiator and just a "pipe" ?

Nice looking project! Looks similiar to mine, truck is even the same color. I have a little extra work since mine was a gasser. Looking for the correct Core support now, junk yard sold me the wrong one #@$%!

But the engine and drivtrain is in and ready to go! Just have to get the radiator and intercooler hooked up.

Jason the motor never ran very long on the test stand (maybe 10 or 15 minutes), just long enough to get the water temp up to 190. Thanks JCrockett, it's been a lot of work but I think it will be well worth it when I'm finished.
