Keep getting Engine Light, Code shows "High Pressure Common Rail HPCR PO148". Could it be a bad pressure sensor or truck computer doesn't like upgraded injectors?
What else could it be?

2006 5.9 228,000 miles. Replaced injectors with 30% increase at 179000miles along with fuel pump. Went through three airdogs before we pitched them and put on a FASS 150gph pump.
Was frequently throwing the code HPCR PO148 code. Have been trying to get this corrected.
In their something the system doesn't like due to increase injector size or fuel pump.
Smarty Jr at stock , economy or towing throws code to.
Now throwing constant. as soon as deleted, it comes back on.
Help before I go to Dodge ans spend BIG$$$$ to get it diagnosed. Local semi shop could on ly go so far with their snapon scanner.

Does the truck need to be reprogrammed at dodge for larger injectors/fuel pump.
Truck runs great. constant 15lb fuel pressure unless cold(15Degrees then 22 lbs until it warms up).

The only thing I an tell you for sure is Dodge can't "program" for larger injectors or fuel pumps. I think you may also get some comments about trying to jamb 22psi into the CP3.

Good luck,
Scott

There are so many things that could generate that code:

LP
CP-3
FCA
PRV
FP Sensor
Injectors

You put in injectors but no info on what they were, new, reman, ??? How about the FCA and PRV, replaced or checked them? Injector return flow test? CP-3 return flow test? Verified LP pressure at the CP-3?

You have to go thru the diagnostics to find the problem.

It would be really nice if you could see the rail pressure when cranking. Has it been getting harder to start over time or did you just get in and it would not start? If it is getting hard to start over time, Injectors, tubes etc. If it was fine and just would not start look at FCA, overflow valve, pressure sensor etc.

Set Condition:
A deviation between the fuel pressure set point and the actual fuel pressure.
