Engine light flashing

engine light is flashing when starting on my 06. manual says it means "not ready for emissions testing". My smarty doesn't show any DTC codes, so what the hell does it mean. my warranty is almost out, should i take it in?

check to see if Smarty is in "Field Test " mode

And how would one do that?

Plug in scanner and pull up your diagnostic screen... look for field test mode. Should be off.
