I finally got around to install my comp this morning and after hooking it up (Less the pump) I turned ignition on and the comp came on good and all but I noticed the engine light came on. I received the comp with the adapter wire for it (Edge said it is a 01/02 Comp) and hooked it up by connecting the adapter to the sensor. I compared it to my EZ and that looked like the way to go. I have done some searching on here and found a thread that I believe said that was correct. Can someone let me know if that is correct and if so why did the engine light come on.

Thanks

Doug

You should have a cable that has a connector for the Comp and power on one end and two connectors on the other. You need to unplug the Map which is located near the back of the block and plug one connector of the cable into the Map and the other into the connector you unpugged from the Map. If you left one of these off then you will get a check engine light. Hope this helps

I did plug the Map in and I went ahead and checked all my conections, I even put the d. grease on all the fittings. I also just hooked up the pump wire and I used the BD Cover. I used the grease on the set screw from reading another post. I still have the engine light, but it started right up. I'll need to play around with it and get to know the settings. I ran the EZ for so long I just got used to it.

Thanks for the reply!
