I have a 98 24 valve 5 speed that has 210000 miles on it. I just bought it about 4 months ago. It runs fine most of the time. I pulled a trailer about 400 miles and it started just running out of power. You could be cruising at 70 mph then it would just start loosing rpm and speed. It would do this with or without the cruise control on. You could pump the foot feet and nothing would happen. If you let it ideal for a minute or so or shut the engine off and start it back up then it would run fine again for a bit. I change the fuel filter didnt help. So I stopped at a dodge dealer and the tech said he really didnt find anything when he checked the codes. I didnt have time to leave the truck with them, so I drove it home. When I got home I put a new cummins lift pump on it. This seamed to fix it for a few weeks. Now it is doing it again. Also, it has a recently rebuilt fuel pump (only about 10,000 miles on it)Any suggestions?

Map sensor??? Boost pressure sensor is another word for it I think. Last year my truck started the same thing only when I got to about half way to the floor with the go pedal did it start cutting out and loosing power. If I backed off and accelerated slowly I had plenty of power.
