My dad has a 2000 CTD with a Edge comp, 275rvs, and a Holley blue pump.

The truck lopes at idel all the time. It runs great, doesnt stumble, just lopes...

Has anyone ever heard/experienced this? It has been doing it for about 2 years. Recently got a new VP44 and it still does it, no check engine light but, I have also not checked for codes.

What is going on??

Thanks in advance for your help.

From what I understand they usually lope with big injectors or a hot rod injection pump. Niether of which you have. So I am not sure. Maybe someone else knows something that I don't???

The only time mine did that was when I got a bad tank of fuel,(water contaminated) took about two tank fulls and two fuel filters and a different station to clear it up, but two years is a long time.

It is probably the 275's, mine will do it on occasion and that is what I have. Mine even did it before I added the juice.

I just went from 90hp to 150 hp injectors and it also started loping at idle. Even worse the warmer it is now. With the comp off and smarty on economy it loped so bad the whole pickup would rock side to side. sounded loke a big cam in a gasser.

The other day I pulled all the sensors and cleaned them, and the connections. Its not a big deal, but if I could get more power out of it because somthing was not working properly I would deffinetly do it.

My dad says everybody asks whats wrong with it, and he tells them it just has HP cam, and lets them go off and beleive it. :-laf (we know cams dont make diesels lope... ... but they dont) :D
