Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Hello all. I have a weird condition on my truck and am heading to Alaska for 5 weeks in 10 days.
I have a 99, with Banks Tuner and exhaust break, runs great until I put my camper on and pull by jeep on moderate hills. Between 10-20 pds of boost, I get a consistent miss or feels like a miss, if I get it above 20pds, seems fine but could just be the extra power or noise.
A local mechanic said it was the torque converter slipping, but I have less than 10k on new transmission and TC. The dealer said no issues with the TC. I took it to the dealer but without the camper and jeep, so they could find nothing wrong.
Ideas? I've read posts on possible CPS or APPS concerns.
