Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) engine missing,hesitating,at low RPM`s

my 2001 auto 5. 9 4x4 is hesitating to rev or missing right off idle when i try to move,its like the engine can rev for some reason. it goes away after about 1500 rpms,i tried the obvious things like filters and checked fuel pressure,any ides? thanks
