Ok, maybe it's just my imagination (I hope it is), but the sounds coming from the engine bay on my truck have changed drastically since I added my PE Comp. Here's the situation:

Before the addition, there was no noticeable sound other than diesel clatter. Now, at 1800-2500rpm or so there's a definite vibrating sound coming from up front. Is it a resonation in the fuel lines or something like that that's associated with the timing changes from the Comp?

Or am I way off base here? Should I even be worried? Has anyone else had this experience? Any and all comments are welcome.

Thanks!!!

You mean the deep, low, gotta get ahead, eat every ford in sight kind of sound :D, or something else?

My accelerator pedal bracket was loose and it made a whining / vibrating sound. Other than that, I can't tell any difference in mine.

Maybe someone else has had more experience with this type of thing.

I posted the same question about the EZ causing a noticeable increase in engine noise. Was told this is due to the timing changes. The fuel is injected closer to the peak of the compression cycle. This caused more "diesel combustion noise". The timing specs. match what Cummins equipped RVs run so it is just the sound of more power... :D

That's what I hoped. With all the hubbub about the pumps involved with fuel delivery, I was a little worried. Sounds like it's normal, which is great and all, but now that I know it's ok, my fuel mileage will go DOWN!

Thanks everyone for the input!
