when I get the RPM between 1500 and 2000 and hold it there for a couple of seconds, like when I am driving in 1st or reverse for a little bit, the sound of the engine changes, it kind of gets louder but it actually sounds like there is more moving parts inside, I wish I could explain this but that is the best I can do, anybody have any Ideas?

Sounds like to me what mine does. Light throttle and when engine speed and rpm seem to match road speed it sounds like the fuel curve changes to sustain a light engine load. Just a guess but that's what I can equate it to. Kinda like going from normal clatter to tossing in . 70 cents worth of dimes into the mix.

thanks for the reply Tool Man, the weird thing is, is that it never did this until I got the engine rebuilt, anyway I guess it is nothing to worry about then, I only wish I could describe it better.

i know exactly what you mean. mine has been doing that also. seems like just since it got cold out. mark

You know I never thought about the temps outside I just got the engine rebuilt late last summer and I can't remember if it was doing it when it was warm or not I'll have to wait til spring and find out, I do know however that it did not do it before it was rebuilt
