Engine Noise?

My 01 has a slight knocking niose that sounds more like a little piston slap ro lifter noise if it was a gas engine. I am guessing it is either normal or is an injector problem. Can I isolate it by loosening a line at a time on each injector or is ther a better way? It starts and runs fine with normal power but just has one cylinder that is a little noisy.
