Availabilty of 2013?

I have a 2012 with less than 9000 miles on it and it has developed some sort of ticking or exhaust leak noise, the mechanic at the dealership say's that this is normal. I would rather it sound like it did when I bought it.

The solenoids on the injectors make some of it. On the 5,9s you need to keep tabs on the injector line isolating clamps

The little BLUE ones that clamp the injector lines? I check them all the time someone wrote a post about that so I usually check when the hood is up and ALWAYS when the oil is changed.

It's normal and been discussed on other forums.
It is coming from the CP3 pump gears. Some have found "timing" the gear will make the noise go away, most just live with it.
My tick will come and go depending on temp.
Before everyone jumps on me, I know the CP3 doesn't have timing. But if changing the timing makes the noise go away, it makes it hard to argue against.

I dont see how one could change the timing of a pump that has no timing  But have taken my stethoscope and listened to the rocker cover and didn't know if it was injector, rockers, or ? dont know that much about our injectors, knew they had a solenoid but didn't know if IT made noise. Seems like lots-0- solenoid firing on 3 gens going on per FIRE IN THE HOLE. Had the valves adjusted JUST BECAUSE and it made little or NO difference but I know they are within spec's

It is not timing it is phasing

So let get this right Phasing? would that be like changing the gear so two different cogs in the gear are now beating eachother into submission? Until the same thing happens at the original setting of the gear takes place and it starts ticking AGAIN!!! Wouldn't that be gear wear?
NOT WANTING TO START SOMETHING JUST ASKING.

The pump has three cylinders, the engine has six. If the pump comes up on one of the cylinder "compression" strokes at a time when the crankshaft is in a "non compression" mode, the gears "slap" into each other. By changing the timing or phasing of the pump, you can sometimes make less noise as you get the two "pumps" in sync. I have posted the procedure several times. It is hit or miss, but is very dramatic when it works.

First I want to say I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE CP3 pump. But if its due to ware wouldn't it go back to some kind of LUBRICITY PROBLEM? Metal on Metal can not be stopped but be helped out from as MUCH ware with a lube. But like sag2 said I can now understand what is meant by phasing the pump.

Say want ya want I think in this kind of thing LUBE IS GOING TO HELP that is the reason I use the lube and to clean not for HP or MPG THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN.

Just like I said above, people that have done it report no more ticking.
Do and search and see the many posts of a ticking noises.
I have never heard of a cp3 gear failing so I would not worry about it.

Would you mind sharing the procedure (again) as I have had no luck in finding it.

No one ever inquired about strange ticking sounds with the 12 valve or 24 valve engines. We couldn't tell if anything was ticking.
