Engine number location

hi,

does anyone know the location of the engine number stamped into the 325hp cummins engine . i know there is the plate on the tappet cover , but i am looking for the stamped in engine number .

your help would be appreciated

I don't know about the stamped number into the block, but the engine number is on the same sticker on the valve cover where the HP/Torque numbers are.

Stamped number can be found on the bottom of the oil filter/cooler housing boss.

Also your number can be found on the valve cover sticker.

Top of the oil filter boss, near the edge of the head gasket.

There is no tappet cover '03-up.
