I have 2001 2500 Quad cab 4x4 with long bed.

How often do you change your engine oil? I've been changing mine every 4k. I tow a 4000 lb boat along with a 4000 lb slide-in camper 5-10% of the time, otherwise I am unloaded and drive 20 miles each way to work on the freeway. Could I go longer between changes with no worries? 7500 miles seems too long. Maybe 5k is ok?? I've been using Delo 400 and Fleetgard Stratopore filters.

What trans fluid do you use in your stock auto? Is the Mopar ATF+3 ok or is there something better?

What about engine coolant? Is Prestone ok to use?

I'm near 30k and need to change the transmission fluid and engine coolant.

i change my oil every 3500-4000 miles with a factory filter, i use delo 400. the trans fliud is now atf+4, i have read its synthetic, flushing every 30,000 miles. i tow about 30% of my milage, colant i use the 50-50 %pre mixed from rotella ken

7500 mile intervals are fine with a good quality synthetic like Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme- could go a lot longer even according to Cummins but not in my truck. Trans fluid is ATF +4 and is good stuff- every 15k for severe service, 30k for normal. Coolant is Fleetguard Compleat AG ( They misspell it on purpose)- great stuff leave it in for at least 30k- use the flush they also sell. I buy all my stuff except transmission fluid at Cummins Atlantic. I am sure there is a similar dealer near you.

With your 20 mile freeway drive every day, going 5000 per oil change is absolutely not a problem on Delo. I like doing things at 5k or 10k intervals because it's a no-brainer to remember when it's time for the next change.
