Just got back from a road trip to get my transmission freshened up by inarush76(who really knows his stuff and is a wonderful guy). When I got home, I noticed engine oil everywhere down the underneath drivers side. Washed it all off and seems to be coming from in front of powersteering pump. Is there a seal there?? Truck has 80k so should be a warranty item?

leak

there are several threads on the TDR. It sounds like the shaft btween the vacuum pump ( towards the front) and the PS pump ( towards the rear) seems to be a fairly common problem by the numerous posts and threads. DC will replace the entire vacum/ps pump assembly for the fix. I dont know if it is coverered under the 100K engine warranty or the 36K DC warranty, I have heard both. Do a search for vacumm pump leak, oil leak and similar and u should have plenty of reading.

hope this helps

PS just for ****s and grins, check your breather bottle too to rule that out.

I've got the same thing but it's a small leak, I found the seal size doing a search and when it comes in I'll see if that is right and it fixes it then I'll post the results.

Sorry guys. Should have searched before posting. Like talking before thinking. Sounds like a common problem like lift pumps. If the dealer won't fix me up under warrenty I'll replace the seal. Thanks so much TDR!!!
