Just drove in the driveway and noticed oil leaking from bell housing through clutch vent, oil also appears to be weating from starter mount. I was curious if anyone has had this happen, how hard is to pull a NV5600 transmission and replace engine rear seals( assuming that what's wrong?

Thanks Guy's

Bret

Bret, check to see if there is a leak at the back of the valve cover gasket that is running down the back of the block before you pull the trans.

I have a 99 with the nv4500 5 spd and the same thing happened to me , wet around the starter , and back of block. Oil was seeping down to bell housing, finally found that it was the dipstick tube that is pressed in the block behind and below the starter. The oil leak wasn't bad but you could tell that oil was coming from somewhere. I originally thought it was my valve cover gasket because the valve cover has been off and on about a dozen times on the original gasket. The leak was also pretty far up on the back of the block but the wind and fan just made it look like it was coming from a different area. So might check that, good luck.

Thanks for help guy's, I found the problem it was my valve cover gasket leaking at the very back the spot where you can't see worth a $%^&. Replaced gasket and no more oil leaking, YEE HAA.

Thank again, Bret.
