Has anyone noticed that if you are on wet roads or snow and get the wheels spinning (wot :D ). That when you let off it wants to pull like you still on the throttle for a few seconds ? My 01 didn't do it, my wifes Expedition doesn't do it , and none of the other auto trucks or cars I have owned did it. Is it the TQ or ?
 
its the turbo... It still has boost left in it so it will still pull you even after you let off the throttle. I love this feature :)

The first time it happened I was like :eek: Now I know it's going to happen so I prepared. You know how fun it is to get a little sideways in the snow :D
 
I've been meaning to ask about this myself. I get the same pull when you let off the pedal after a heavy acceleration. I too thought about the boost, then asked myself "well, then why didn't my 01' do it?" Can't be my TTPM because it did this even before adding it or any other BOMBs.
 
The most common excuse er reason dodge provided is the high pressure fuel system cant bleed down fast enough when you take your foot off the throttle so the injectors continue to run hard. Not sure I buy that one though.
 
The injectors are elec. and I bet there is a bypass or return for the extra fuel. So I don't buy excuse DC is giving then.
 
I don't know if it is applicable - however, other threads have noted that the exhaust brake has a built in delay of about 1. 5 seconds to allow the fuel pressure to bleed down before it will engage.
 
I've noticed it in my truck and concluded that in my case when I let off the throttle I was accelerating in a lower gear then when I let off it upshifts and thus keeps accelerating because the transmission is pretty tight and you have all the mass/energy of the torque converter and engine spinning which you feel as continued acceleration ever though you let off the throttle.
