Cummins Engine Paint

Number was in on of the old TDR's. My filing system is too bad to find it. However, with your Engine Serial Number, the Cummins dealership can call up all kinds of info on your engine, including the paint. They gave me a print out of the data. Paint code (not part number but will cross) for a 96 is ss 9150.

Eric, I accidentally found the right color, or at least very close. It is the paint for anodized bronze window frames, the brand I got was Xenolite (sp?) from Ace Hardware.

Eric, it's great. I didn't realize how many benifits you get working for the govt until they paid me 30¢ a mile to drive 562 miles, three meals and a hotel just to go to a meeting that lasted one and a half hours. Plus my normal wages!

Bill,

They ripped you off, the standard allowed government rate should be $0. 345 per mile. But if you are happy with $0. 30 per mile, who am I to complain:D

The actual cost of running one of our trucks is about $0. 45 to $0. 55 per mile, if you count everything. A friend of mine in the vehicle leasing business tells me the industry standard is $0. 48 per mile, I calculate charge out rates for my business at $0. 54 per mile, maybe I need to up it, I haven't changed it since 01-01-2000.

Gald to hear it Bill. My little brother has one of those jobs. Gets to travel all over the US, and many other countries.

He likes the travel, but he has three small children. Guess it's both good and bad in his case.

Good part is, he only works 4 days a week!

Eric

C Shomer,

The number I gave was the titanium black. Guess I had never heard of a truck with the brown in a truck, although I have seen that color in marine applications
