Engine Pressure Buildup

This post is for a buddy that owns an 03 3500 automatic and he has noticed the engine sort of bogging down when he lets off the accelerator. He says it feels kind of like pressure is building up when accelerating and isnt releasing through the turbo fast enough. Anyone have any ideas what the problem. I also have another friend with a ford F250 automatic that is having the same problem. My 2500 is a 6 speed so i have no idea where to begin with the automatics.

Could be torque converter slip or maybe a bad muffler.

Well, he doesnt have a muffler, so it isnt that, but i will mention the torque converter slip to him. Thanks.
