I have a 02, auto, 4X4, This last week it has been dying when I put in gear. It acts like the TQ or Trans isn't disengaging. When you stop at a stop light it feels like it wants to keep going. The engine rpm is where it has always been at idle, 800 rpm. Any ideas. Thanks Stan

What mods have you done? This is a ONGOING problem with quite a few trucks, including mine (but it's not stock either). Do a search and you'll find quite a few posts about it.

truck quits

The truck is stock, it has 105k miles. It just started . I have only owned the tk for 3 months. I will do a search as soon as zi learn how. I only joing tdr a couple of weeks ago. I had a 93 D that I put 200k on. thanks, Stan

Stan,

I too have had this problem in the past... . you need to make a profile for the botttom of your posts that lists the details of your truck. That way we can be of more help. Where do you live?? I know I have the stalling only in the winter when we run the crappy fuel up here in Alaska. Is it possible that your area just changed over to winter fuel?? There is a reflash that might help, 18-015-00 (see it here http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/18-15-00.htm) It helped on my truck untill I went to bigger injectors. I have a buddy with a 98. 5 and it did not help on his truck. Do you an aftermarket transmission or injectors??

I did a search for you... https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/search.php?searchid=215370

Good luck and welcome to the TDR.

Sorry to take so long to get back. This having to work sucks. Yesturday I was doing some running around and the same old thing. It felt like the transmision wasn't going into low gear. After I had made several stops something popped or clunked in the transmision and it shifted down and it set at the stope light without having to have a lot of brake pressure. It acted up once more than the same thing, clunk, down shift and than ok. It done the same thing today. Could some piston assembly be hanging up?

I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
