Engine Radiator Fan

I have noticed that the engine fan always runs at engine speed or faster on startup. It does not matter what the outside temperature is. After a certain amount of time or vehicle speed it comes back to under 500 rpm but will do it again on the next start up. This is veified by my Edge Insight. Is this normal or do I have a sensor problem?

It might be a sticking electronic clutch.

Mine does it also sometimes. I think it’s normal

It is pretty much normal, caused by the drag. This fan never stands still.

Normal. It's called "Morning Sickness" caused by the working fluid draining back into the clutch's working chamber. Sometimes the fan was locked in on engine shutdown so it will still be locked in on startup. When it doesn't happen on startup it's rare.
