engine rattle in drive

5. 9l 2007 CTD auto with jake brake. When the engine has warmed up andthe truck is stopped and in drive I get a loud rattle Hum noise in the engine compartment. The truck only has 4000 miles on it and just started doing it. The have strapped the oil dip stick and tramission dip stick and that did not do anything, still ratles. Brough it back and they checked it all heard the noise the The head diesel tech said this was normal. Some BS about the air filter and air blocking making the noise. He told me to leave the exhaust brake on and he said that would stop it, it doesn't. Only putting it in neturel when stopped stops the noise as soon as you put it in drive and have the brake on it starts. Should I take it to another dealer ? or buy a chevy any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you spend what they ask for our trucks, they shouldn't expect you to put up with an annoying rattle. Find another dealer. I would check the exhaust system and the small cat. Check that a motor mount wasn't left loose. Did you pull the auto trans dip stick out and see if the rattle went away?
