Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
I have a 92 CTD with an alternator that is not charging. The alternator is good, I checked that. I suspect that I may have a problem with the engine speed sensor at the front balancer. Had one of those fail once before, and the dealer wanted to sell me a SBEC.
Does anyone have the procedure and specs for checking that sensor, I seem to remember that there is a procedure for testing the sensor itself with a DVOM, as well as checking continuity of the circuits to/from the SBEC. Thanks.
