"Engine Start" button

Looked inside an SRT-10 this weekend and noticed the engine start button. Has anyone tried to install a button on their CTD???? I've been wanting to do this to my 95 with a manual shutdown handle also, but I would like the button in my 3rd-Gen. Any suggestions, have you done it??

I have it on my 94.

I bought the truck that way. The button is in the dash next to the OD switch.

do a search for the Start button. There are some posts about what electrically needs to happen.



On a related "starting" issue, has anyone been able to put in an air powerd starter like some of the older big rigs have? I know it would be purely for show, but I still think that high whine would be a cool way to wake up the neighborhood.



Finally on a completly unrelated topic, can you roll-start a manual transmission diesel like you can a gasser? I am just curious as I have the 48RE.
