Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Stumble Going to idle

Lately, I've noticed that my truck wants to stumble or die when I rev and then backoff of the throttle suddenly. Usually. the idle recovers. Sometimes the Engine dies. Any idea where I should start looking for problcs?

The idle is probably too low. If you have an automatic transmission the idle should be at least 750 in D with the AC on. 800 is better.

What Joe said. Mine would do the same thing, before I bumped it back up.
