Engine swap

I am trying to change out a 6. 2 with a Cummins 5. 9 and need advice. Has this been done before and are there any kits avaible?

You might find a kit for the trans. adapter clutch set up, other than that welder, tape measure, chop saw etc. etc.

Cummins dealers used to sell kits to put a Cummins in any Chevy or Ford PU. I would call and ask, maybe they still do.

only one cummins,it was my fifth deisel swap though, if I knew then what I know now they ALL would have been cummins. Bob

I just helped a friend buy/steal a Frito Lay Chevy step van with a B3. 9 turbo hooked to a chevy 4sp manual. It was swapped by Cummins. They used and adapter with the Chevy bellhousing. If you aren't in a hurry I can look for a part number on the adapter when I get back home.
