my engine temp gauge hasnt moved since i got it back on the road after a month of sitting. continuity test was done and came back fine, could it be the sending unit? or somethign else? any help is appreciated.
There`s a rubber collar on the thermostat that sometimes gets sucked in to the thermostat and holds it open. If it`s cold where you are the engine temp. will not show up at all on the gauge. You will get a little warm air out of the heater but not much. Easy to fix just pull the thermostat housing off and pull the collar out of the thermostat. Some people cut it off and don`t have any problems with it but I think replacement of the thermostat is best.
Well I tried! The water temp. sender is under the intake manifold, just back from the intake horn or even with No. 4 cylinder. Good luck it`s a fun place to get to.
