engine timing re smarty

Hello everyone



Question: what advantage or disadvantage is there to

using the same power increase programs one with timing and one without timing?



Also which could be more harmful to the engine,the programming

with tiiming or the program without timing?

The different settings, ie; odd & even, were put there so boxes could be used in conjunction with the Smarty unit. The even ones were developed for the folks wanting the higher RPM performance with the low end fueling of the Smarty. I can't speak from experience but following the logic in the early development of the Catcher, Marco supplied what the public wanted.



As for harm,,,,,, well if you keep an eye on the EGT you won't have too much trouble.

the timing increase fuel economy and also lowers egt's



The non-timing programs are offered if the user has another source for timing (like a tst adjustable box)
