engine torque numbers

hey all,



i dyno'd my truck some time ago and have rear wheel horsepower figures (254), but was told the torque readings weren't working that day.



i am wondering if there is any mathematical formula or best guess speculation theory whereby one can derive the torque output from the horsepower.

Horsepower = (Torque * RPM) / 5252



or: Horsepower * 5252 = Torque * RPM



or: (Horsepower * 5252) / RPM = Torque

Funny thing is, horsepower is a "fictional" number that can't be measured, only found through the mathmatical equation. But I guess with the advent of computers anything is possible.
