I just made the 1000mi trip back from Tomygun with the new 2005 truck. Runs great with just a little vibe at 72-78mph but really depends on the road. (not noticeable on fresh payvement but can feel it on older pavement and only at 72-78mph) but nothing I cant fix. BUT, after I got home I noticed an internal rattle at shutoff. I climbed under and had someone shutoff and had my head to the trans. It sounds like its inside the trans. No other noises at startup or during clutch engagement. My 2004. 5 shuts off quickly and quietly with a slight engine chirp but it is an auto. The 2005 engine bucks/lifts and shuts off and then rattles on the last few revolutions. Anyone else with this noise and a stick. I dont know it this is just a manual thing or a future problem

It sounds like the flywheel the G56 uses a dualmass flywheel and what you are describing is a common thing for that type of flywheel.

My 05 with a NV 5600 sounds similar . Don't know exactly how yours sounds but thats a common scenario with a manual transmission .

I drove two other trucks with 6 spds , same on both .

I wouldn't worry .

My truck makes a heck of a racket and shakes upon shut down. I'm not too worried about it... I just make sure my doors are closed when I turn the key off.

My truck also rattles at idle, but that's a NV5600 clutch plate spring issue (I think).
