What is the best procedure for engine & transmission removal? Can they come out together? How much front end disassembly is involved?

Should be able to pull them together. Got to get everything out of the way in front: fan shroud, radiator, condenser, intercoooler. The front dissassembly is no different than pulling the cam. Set the consenser aside if you don't want to loose the A/C refrig.

Man thats going to be very heavy. Here putting in just motors i use the my 2 pole lift.

That is a concern. Together they must run near 1600 lb. .

It has been suggested that it might be easier to pull my damaged cab & box & replace them.
