Engine Coolant loss, Engine oil overfill

Hi all, my 2007 1/2 6.7 has a high frequency vibration from engine idle to cruising speed. Can be felt in the steering wheel and floor boards/seat. First instinct was harmonic balancer but research has shown very little problems with 6.7 harmonic balancer. Vibration is engine speed related. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Much more information is needed about your truck, such as: 2wd, 4wd, automatic, manual, mods, repairs, etc.

For example, if your truck is stock with a manual transmission and original clutch, then I would be suspecting a dual mass flywheel failure.

2007 6.7 4x4, auto, 160k miles, airtex rear airbags. Truck occasionally tows 3 horse aluminum trailer with living quarters. Vibration can be felt at idle and increases proportionally with engine speed. Seems like harmonic dampener or torque converter. Will be installing used dampener on Tuesday to see if vibration is cured. Research indicated there is a instrument that detects and identifies vibration and where it occurs. Any advice or direction will be greatly appreciated.

After you have removed belt, but before you install dampener, start the engine and operate it at various rpm's to see if the vibration is still there. If it is still there, then you know it is not any of the belt driven accessories. If the vibration is gone, then there is no need to install the used dampener.

Good luck and let us know what happens.
