It just so happens, Labor Day is in the middle of my 7 day off stretch. Gone to Houston to work on trucks(people are amazed I think this is fun) and spending the rest of the time relaxing.



Hope ya'lls Labor Day is as good as mine is planned out to be!!

Well so much for that leisurely weekend I thought I was going to have. It's saturday around 5:30pm and I've already pulled a NV-4500 out of a certain wrecked Texas Red Rocket. I did learn a few things so it was worth it. I promise, the rest of the weekend, I ain't doin nuthin.

Off to a bad start

I too was looking foreward to long relaxing weekend just sittin' and watchin' the river flow by. That was untill I buried my truck and 5er. Well, we started working to extricate my rig when fate reared its ugly head once more. It began pouring rain. Well after about 2hrs of slogging around in mud, and then standing water we freeed the big black truck. Not before overheating the trans. , oops The 5er you ask ? It's still there, listing several inches to the port, and probably will be for some time to come. The rain isn't over yet, so it'll be there a while. Me ? I guess I'll sit out under the awning all weekend with a bucket o 'ritas and watch that ol river roar past.



No one is promised tomorrow, so let's make the best of what's left of today.

Do not retire because you never get a vacation. Sitting here in the chair kicked back with my feet in another chair. Life is rough!



Serious tho, I leave the campgrounds to the people that need them for a release from work as I can camp any time.

It is now Labor Day at a little after 1. Just got back in town from going camping. Rain in the night and cloudy days. Had a good time though. Have to have fun working the cummins and pullin the 5er.

I am proud to say that I have not done a damn thing all day. I walked outside once just to see if it was Hot outside. Other than that its been some long hours watching the US Nationals and Playing Grand Turismo 3. Back To Hustling Batteries Tommorow

5 days and 4 nights was wonderful!

Just got back from Kaslo, BC. Kathy and I went up there last Thursday, stayed in a Bed and Breakfast right on Kootenay Lake. Did a lot of reading, drove up to some Glaciers, and found a Wonderful restaurant in Kaslo called the Rosewood! I highly recommend it!

Sun came out today. Only got 8" of rain this weekend. Just as well that my 5er was stuck at the river, 'cause when I got home my drive was underwater Well the only other thing I can say is "Aflac,Alac, Allaaaac, Buuuuuuuuuuuuua !"

Labor day, oh yeah I got to labor all day in fact all weekend at work. Such is life sometimes hope everyone else had an enjoyable weekend. Vacation is coming soon though.

My "Rents" got it right. They got married 44 years ago on Labor Day weekend. Every year they get the three day weekend to celibrate their aniversary!!! Dad's 72 Mom's 70. Hope I live that long...
