Enterprise Engine Ladder Bars??

I wanted a set of Steves ladder bars but they have gone away due to the frame craking problems. I emailed Enterprise yesterday to ask if they had any of Steves bars laying around that I could buy and they came back with No, but we have our own set up and call for info. Well I am at work and can't call now so I will ask you all... .



Any one have a set... any pics... impressions???

I was also on the list,waiting for Steve’s traction bars. I was going to weld in a plate to make them work with the thin frame rails and was sorry to hear that they are not available.



If anyone knows of a good replacement (Enterprise?) please post.

That's great news. BTW, I didn't stop putting them together because of the frame cracking issue. I have that problem solved. The reason I quit selling them was because even at the price I was selling them at after selling 17 sets I had lost money. I had complaint after complaint that they were too expensive (except from those that bought and loved them) when those that were doing the complaining were comparing apples to oranges. It just got to the point that I was too busy with other things (like running this website) to devote my time and energy on the ladder bars - especially when I was having to defend myself on the pricing on a regular basis. Also, it was a pain trying to deal with the suppliers - I kept getting promises on when they could deliver parts that would keep getting pushed back (VERY frustrating). I had plans to put together instructions and let people know where they could find the parts so those that wanted to get a high quality set of ladder bars could. Since Enterprise is selling a set now I probably won't do that since I'm sure they are making a quality product.

Thanks for setting me straight on why you stopped... I would still pay your asking price or more for those bars of yours. If you ever get a chance, snap a pic of the new front mount for your bars and post it on here for all to see.



I am going to call Enterprise later in the week and I have a line on some other bars made by a racing shop in the Pacific Northwest (closer to home).

See if you can call and talk to Dave Mitchell himself. I got to talk to Lorretta a lot at the events they came to in KY and TN this year. My very first truck pull I went to, it was just like Dave let out on the clutch and was gone. No hop at all, just a straight shot to 400+ FT (if I remember right)



Heard him talking in the pits later, Lorretta told me he was trying to figure out a hop problem he was having last year. Well it turned out the traction bars that were on his truck were bent. So he had just installed a new set of traction bars just before the Lebanon, KY pull. Said it turned his truck all around and was the best pull he had had all season.



I'm pretty sure he can set you up with what you need.
