erratic cruise control

i am new at trhis so please forgive any mistacks my problem is while towing are 30ft fifth wheel while in cruise the speed is erratic.

if anyone has had this problem and has found a fix i would sure like to hear from you.

It has been said that when it is on, it makes the throttle more sluggish so it will make the cruise control smoother. I have tried it and if you drive around town with it on, it feels strange like it has lost power. it really is neat for warming up at up to 1500 rpm at idle.

As you can see by signature--mine is '99, had same problem--dealer reflashed and CC has been great since then... . Hope your not using CC pulling except on long flats?!? CC can't hold your speed in any kind of hills... ... ... IMO, J. B.
