I'm running a FASS Platinum fuel system with the engine filter still in the system. The pressure gage is connected between the engine filter and the VP44.

usually the pressure is 12-16 PSI while running. Sometimes it goes to 18-20 and I have seen 28.

Which relief valve could cause this, the one on the VP$$ or on the FASS pump?

It could also be your fuel gauge giving u eronious readings. The pulses tend to ruin electric gauges even the snubbers will wear out over time.

Pressure between 12 and 17 PSI is not a problem. Low pressures have, in the past, been form dirty fuel filters. It is the HIGH pressures that I worry about. what causes them and what will they do to the VP44?
