A couple of times after I have filled up my truck the fuel pressure becomes very erratic. It jumps back and forth between 15# and 6#. This has happened 3 times. I put a pint of Marvel Mystery Oil in the tank and within 3 miles the pressure is back up and steady. I also came to the realization that I bought the offending fuel at the same station. Not my usual stop so shame on me! Has anybody else discovered this??

The only time I saw my pressure jump with that much difference in the range of psi's was when the Mallory was on it's way out. Not looking to cause false alarm but it could be the sign of the lift pump on it's way out. The good thing is that you have the FP gauge and you can watch it, if your at idle or WOT pressures seem to be getting lower than your baseline psi's, be prepared for a pump change.

I know --I have been carrying a spare with me. But I have been wondering if it was a lack of lubricity in the fuel I bought. I have put 25,000 miles on it in less than a year. Now i have narrowed the symptom down to one fuel station.
