I have a '94 Dodge with the Cummins... . lately I have been noticing erratic tach. Just recently the tach has quit completely, the AC doesn't work, the cruise control is out, and the alternator doesn't charge. Thought it could be the crank shaft position sensor, as noted on a '95 Cummins, but the Cummins dealer says the '94 doesn't have one. Any ideas??? Thanks a lot!

The 94 has a engine speed sensor mounted on the front of the timing case cover by the crankshaft pulley. If it fails, all of the mentioned stuff happens. First check the wiring plug for a good connection. Next check the gap to the pulley (about . 050") As a last resort replace.
