My '93 recently started having issues with the volt gauge. Very inconsistent, regardless of current draw or temperature. The gauge will bounce between 10 and 12, sometimes it will stop and hold for a while at 10, sometimes 11, sometimes 12. It will do this for a few minutes and then be fine for a while, only to repeat again later. Any ideas?

Yeah my volt gauge was doing the same thing your talking about. I had a bad regulator on my truck. I have a '90 and they stop putting regulators in the dodge's back in the last 80's and my truck was made in '89. A buddy of mine has a '93 D250 and it doesn't look like he has a regulator on his truck. Or it could also be a bad connection somewhere, but i'm not sure.

Check it with a external meter and verify the dash gauge is true. If it is then troubleshooting of the charging system is in order. If not, then check the power/ground circuit of the dash gauge.
