Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Escess blowby

Need help, I am seeing excessive blowby in my driveway, since I have installed a new BD exhaust brake? Anybody have a clue to why I might have all the sudden be having this problem? I have gotten rid of the pill bottle and extended my blowby line below my front axel, so it's easy to see where its coming from.



Lost maybe 1/2-3/4 of a quart of oil in the last 5000 miles????

Hmmm...

I do not have an E brake but, I know a few that do and I have never heard them complain of this. Are you sure, it is blow by?



Have you gotten underneath and confirmed that oil is in fact coming from your breather tube.



It may be your vacuum pump seal is leaking.

I meant to tell you I was reading about excessive oil causing this. How full is your crankcase? I know some members put a full (3) gallons in & maybe this could contribute to the extra blowby..... I realize you have the "Premo oil by pass filter" but If it's at all over the full mark, drain a little out & see if it stops.

Just a thought.
