Jeep Wrangler Diesel Conversion

Interesting Ford/Cummins for sale

Is there anyway to identify what piece of equipment a Cummins engine originally came out of?

My cousin just bought a 78 Chevy with a 12 valve Cummins/NV4500 conversion and it definitely came out of some kind of construction/ag equipment Whatever it came out of it sat down in pretty far, the dipstick is about 4ft long and is coiled up in the engine bay :-la:

Put the ESN on here or PM it to me. I THINK that I can tell with the newer database that Cummins has.

Mike.

OK got the ESN: 45383196. He says he is pretty sure the second # is 5 but says it looks like it could be a 6. The entire engine is painted an industrial orange but I see a few small spots of tan underneath where the paint is chipped. Overall it's a pretty decent truck, 14 bolt rear with Dana 60 front Axle. The front clip looks like it's off an early 90s...

Freightliner Chassis, M Line Walk In Van. I don't think it was a motor home chassis, more like a UniFirst rig. Still digging....

Are you sure it wasn't the maid with the candlestick in the library?? :-laf :-laf

Mike, I am truly impressed. Thank you!!!

My hands down favorite pick up series of all time right there. The Cummins only makes it that much better.

Those trucks are just like a '57 Chevy, you could put them back into production today and sell every one as fast as they were built. Timeless.
