Well, I keep looking out front for the hovering fighter jet #ad
The ESPAR is great but wow can it make a bit more noise than the old block heater #ad

Really it is no louder than the direct vent furnace exhaust on my house.

The remote works great and the timer does it's thing as advertised.

Regardless of which brand you get, it is fantastic to step into a warm cab.

I love mine too David.

Its great coming out of work and the truck is warm. It runs so smooth & quiet when its at its normal operating tempature.

One thing I don`t care for is if the fuel tank gets between 1/2 and 1/4 tank and lower , the Espar won`t fire.

We are just going to have to keep the tank topped off during winter I guess.

This is one of the BEST accessories I have ever had. #ad

This Wed I will have install
Espar D5W water heater with remote in
my Dodge truck.
For price 100 buck extra and get
3700 BTU extra. Note: will not install
driver side (frame side install) instead
dealer suggest to me that put Espar
just below right side or passenger of
battery. Dealer will do install for me.
Glad to hear that you happy with Espar heater. One thing that oil didn't get warm and still cold that might blow out oil filter. But I do think Dodge diesel truck
have by-pass oil so filter will not blow out. Somewhat like engine get very exciting start while oil is still cold, as I hear someone using Webasto, get oil filter blow out. How far does remote does start Espar
heater? My dealer saying it could be 500+ feet range. Is that what you getting at
these range? Here pretty getting cold as day come.

Lukocs,
I have not range tested the remote yet. With no outward sign of life (flashing parking lights, etc) it is hard for me to test alone.

As to oil blow out, this is the first I've heard of such a thing. I run Amsoil in the big furnace so I don't expect to see such heat issues.

I got such a 'good deal' on mine that the D5 would have been a big big difference.

Hemi,
How long was your fuel tank pipe? I swear mine went to the bottom of the tank.

I get an F-14 error if I try to start the ESPAR while driving. (not that I do this much, more so I can arrive with the jet noise as a joke than for the heat)

I am trying to figure out how to use the extra remote circuit for my power locks!!

Here is reason why blow out occur,
my brother work for oil well service which has big heavy engine frac pump.
They using Webasto heater. What he
get report from blow out oil filter was that
these frac pump engine is at -40 C Arctic North
of Alberta and also use idle faster at first start up than
normal of which is why blow out oil filter occur. Shouldn't use fast idle when oil is cold even engine is hot. He saying, was pleasure with
Webasto heater and love it. At these temp hit -40 C, frac pump engine would start about 1/2 hour after turn on Webasto heater.
