I’ve had an Espar heater since Christmas! For me this was one of those “must have” items. Couldn’t install it in the winter, too cold, and don’t want to now that it’s summer!
Since it was a gift from my wife (she knew she was giving herself a gift too) she has been on my case to get it in the truck before those winter trips to Vermont and Maine become a reality.
I think I’ll be busy this weekend!
My question is has anyone considered putting an inline valve in the Espar supply and return hose (the Espar supplied hose…location closest to the unit)? I ask only because some of you have had problems with these heaters and I thought that a manual cutoff valve might make it easier to remove the unit and continue to operate the truck, (i. e. flip the lever and return to the stock coolant flow pattern. While you send the thing back to Espar for an analysis. Not that anything like this is going to happen with my unit).
- What inline valve would you use (material, manufacturer, etc)
