Thanks, TDR Staff

Which air intake system?

stackin a pmcr and a volumizer

truck has 61k on it, and I've had it with the transmission. Considering DTT and ATS. Parts for both will be roughly $2200, give or take a little. What did you folks pay, including installing? I will be running an Edge EZ and will upgrade to DD2's or similar. Thanks for any help!

Well, are you going all billet?, Smart Controller (or ATS equivalent)?, T/C?, VB?, DD pan?, E brake?

Make sure you tell them what you are going to do in the future so when you get there the transmission is ready.

Will definatly do VB/TC, and that's probably it. I will not need a controller at this time. Billett would be considered... but not willing to spend another $500 on it. No e-brake... probably would go with DD pan.

Basically, I only tow about 10k pounds, and that's only once a month or so. I live at the top of a good sized mountain, and like to hot rod it a little going up. Nothing insane, just letting it stretch it's legs a little.

:eek: :eek: I don't understand how you got a quote of $2200?? My guess is that you are not doing a full upgrade with a performance built transmission. Probably only a converter and valve body. I just priced new trannies with T/C installed and I was looking at roughly $5,000. :{

Trans- $2138- $2695

T/C- $1295- $1388

labor- $600- $800

Shipping- $250-$450

+ TAX

*** The above prices are a range depending on whose transmission I went with. Looked at 3 main vendors. At these prices, it is very cost prohibited. :(

hi, just had mine done this past january at Chips Trans(865-453-9411) in Seiverville Tn. been happy wth it towing our travel trailer.

cost out the door was 3800. 00.

Challenger-II,

I think he said "transmission rebuild" not transmission replace. If you remove the $2138- $2695 for the transmission you would have about $2200 left over.

As for how much the install will be, I would figure $1000, all depends on the shop rate where you have it done.

It is worth it... .

Really... ... Triple lock convertor? High pressure valve body? ... ... ..... Billet input... . Billet intermediate..... Billet output... . To hold about 500 HP for $2200. 00. Don't go to Sun Coast. Joe will shoot you if you say $2200. 00 is what I'll pay.

Go with the DTT. For that money you better.

I got my ATS Stage IV 2 years ago for $3,600 with no controller. I added that later. I drove to Denver to get it installed so there is no shipping in that price. But now that ATS is so well known, there are hundreds of good shops around the country who do ATS installs and rebuilds. I would call them and ask who the nearest installer is.

ndurbin, Blumenthals is an ATS installer. Did you get a TripleLok TC in your Trans?

Does your TC price include installation? DTT's TC is under $926 (and over $924);) BTW, that is assuming one of the 3 vendors was DTT. If it wasn't sorry bout the post. :)

I was going to say the same thing. I just had mine done last week. Full rebuild and new triple disk. WAY less than the numbers you guys are takling about. Shifts better than the new Dodge trans I had put in back in the old days before the good stuff was available. The new TC is impressive too.

Call Dave and talk to him.

Challenger I have to look but im pretty sure it is ats that has a dealer instaler in middle town or newburgh new york. If that helps ya out any. I too am looking for the right trany to put in my truck and have started saving but its gana be a while. I think im gana work on the corner. Any one think a 300# bald gigalo would do much buisness? lol
