I might have a chance of picking up a VP44 pump off a 2000 3500 ETC that failed and was wondering if I sent it out and had it rebuilt would it be worth installing it on my ETH? I haven't read anywhere that someone has tried this. Anyone in the know think this is worth pursuing?

Thanks for the replies so far. I figured it wasn't worth it as I haven't noticed any posts on it. I just thought that with the supposed smaller fueling capabilities of the ETH VP44 compared to the ETC VP44 that it might be worth a chance. I would have to guess there are some pressure differences between the two that just doesn't jell.

VP44 for ETC

Hello Mopars1,

I could use a core VP44 to play with. Blue Chip had a disassembled pump at Muncie and whetted my appetite for explore the pump. If you are not interested and the pump is for sale I would appreciate knowing the price and a chance to buy it.

Thanks, Larry Crawford

PS: I still haven't tried the injectors that I gave you to try. I'm thinking of having them extrude honed out for a performance injector. Talked to Big DQ at the Sullivan, MO sled pull Saturday and would like to make the Aug. 10 get together in Edwardsville.

Larry, I will check on the pump tomorrow. I don't know the status of a purchase at this time, I just know it was returned and charged back to the dealership because the pump wire had been split and warranty was denied. I think the core charge for the pump was $600. 00 but I don't know what the Parts Manager is going to do with it.

Todd T,

Hey I just want a "little" more pulling punch;) , how about tandem VP44's running off dual ECM's:D . Yes, 600 feet per pull would be about right... ... ..... question for you though: How many turbo's will be needed to maintain 1250 egt on a 600ft pull:confused: This is fun!! Larry
