Evaporator temperature (fin) sensor

Is anyone familiar with the test procedure on this item? There is mention of a test procedure in the FSM, but I can't find it. A friends '03 has problems with evaporator icing and the compressor runs all the time.

sounds like it is low on charge or you have an air flow problem dirty evap i work on heat pumps at work and those are the two things that seem to cause the evap to ice up you could get someone to throw a set of gauges on and check pressures hope this helps compressor would run all the time if it was not making the correct pressures

You need the DRBIII or StarScan to read the temp sensor.

If the compressor keeps running and running, either the clutch is stuck engaged, or the switch in the dash is closed.

Mine was doing the same thing. Great system for about 15 minutes, then no airflow, then a stinky thaw out, repeat. While repairing my broken defrost door, I got rid of the A/C system.
