Just saw it for the first time... cool movie!
Extra cool Challenger RT!
One scene about 25 minutes in you could almost see my house.
 
I saw it the other day. I had a heard a rumor that the car smashed and burning in the end was a Camaro. Well since i had never seen the original movie before I watched the end extra close and sure enough, it was!! I thought that was to cool!

Yes, the car wrecked at the end is a Camaro, not a Challenger. I guess they were smart enough to know not to waste a car like the Challenger. They used several Challengers of differing engines. Check out this link for good info on it.

Here's a good site about the movie Bullitt. It's from the Mustang fans' perspective, but it has great info on both the Mustang and the '68 Charger. Interesting stuff about the possible whereabouts of the original Mustang used in the movie. Unfortunately for us Mopar freaks, the original Charger was destroyed in filming. I guess these movie makers weren't as smart as the Vanishing Point people.
