Typical 12v when it's cold? My 12v starts and runs no matter what the temp. Still... a spare engine would be nice. The rest, not so nice.

Man, I think that truck is in the worst shape I've ever seen a CTD in. That wasn't wrecked anyway... Think he needs to dip that whole truck in PB Blaster, not just the throttle linkage. ;) Though, afterwards he would get less per lb. :-laf

We found a truck for a price around what he is asking(maybe it was even less) for Bob's dakota project

and that truck was a lot nicer than that.

I'll give him $1500

How about this Chebby I saw in a shop the other day? At least the chrome is still attached. Unfortunatley the repairs exceeded the value of the truck.

Joe, that reminds me of a 74 Chevy 3/4 ton we had-- So rusty, we nicknamed her Lacey. I once locked the keys in it, and got in by pulling on the passenger doorskin enough to get my arm up inside. :-laf

It was a fun ride for a young kid though.

Didn't they make the '73s and '74s out of recycled metal? They rusted FAST! My Dad had a '73 that was so soft you could throw a wet cat right through it. Drivetrain was bulletproof though. I miss that truck.
