Evergreen RV?

More of a curiosity question than anything. One of our local trailer dealers has several Evergreen RV trailers on their lot at steep discounts. I understand that Evergreen went under last summer. I know that the discount is due to the shutdown of the company.

What happens with these unsold trailers as far as warranty and repairs are concerned? The dealer is claiming that they come with a 2 year extended warranty, which I assume is some 3rd party offering.

Again, I'm not necessarily considering one. They just caught my eye in their advertisements.

Some of the Evergreen trailers are somewhat similar to my Aviator in the use of composite construction materials. If I recall the earlier models were better and some of the newer ones were cheapened to lower the price. My Aviator was also discontinued after one year because they couldn't get the price-point low enough. If you are fairly handy you are usually better off doing any repairs yourself instead of taking it back to a dealer so to me the warranty isn't all that big a deal. Do your homework on the Evergreen construction and you may find it worth looking further at. I have been very please with our composite trailer. It is very well insulated and is basically rot-proof.
