EVIC Message question

I was towing my trailer a few weeks ago when a chime alerted me to the EVIC. I have a alert that said something like "change air filter. " I have only 4500 miles on the truck and this seems kinda low for an air filter that is not driven in dirt or dust.



My question really is: this message is now gone? Is this typical? It would seem to me that if it needed to be changed, the alert would stay there until replaced, correct?

I have also gotten this message "change air filter" before when I accelerated hard up a hill. It went away not too long after. Everything is fine, I think the sensor is just a little too sensitive. You have nothing to be worried about in my opinion.
